STA Junior Tennis Philosophy
At STA our coaches guide each player through a progressive curriculum that emphasizes building a strong technical foundation for the long-term benefit of the player. We believe that it's not a race to hit a certain type of ball or play on a larger court, but rather embarking on a journey to develop a deep understanding of the game that will benefit players throughout their lives. We understand that each child is unique and has their own learning style. Age is the starting point for placing children in the appropriate group, but our coaches also make recommendations based on each individual child's progress.

What do the ball colors indicate?
Years ago, everyone - beginner or advanced - played with the same iconic yellow tennis ball. Today, there are four different balls of varying sizes and bounce to help starters gradually build up their tennis skills.
What size racket do I need?
Today’s game is taught with age and ability in mind, with courts and equipment sized appropriately to make learning easy and fun.
